These webpages were written and are maintained by Dr Louis Strous. The web space is courtesy of the Astronomical Institute / Utrecht University, but only Dr Strous is responsible for the contents of the pages.

Dr Strous received a MSc-equivalent degree (in physics and astronomy) from Utrecht University in 1989, and a PhD (based on research of active regions on the Sun) from the same university in 1994. From 1995 until the end of 2000, Dr Strous worked as a professional astronomer in the United States, but then he returned to the Netherlands, where he now works as a software developer in Delft.

The HTML pages are generated from source files that contain text for a given page for all supported languages, which facilitates updating. Most links to locations elsewhere on the web site are included automatically, based on identification in the source files of interesting locations and the associated keywords. Dictionary items are alphabetized automatically, and the keywords identified in the source files are included automatically in the dictionary.
